A very spooky Festival of the Lost 2020 guide

In a normal year, Festival of the Lost would be the holiday event for the fall season of Destiny 2, but in a year that’s been anything but normal, things have shifted around a bit. Due to the delay of Beyond Light to November 10th, Season of Arrivals has been extended, but just because the summer season is going on longer than normal doesn’t mean that the Festival has been canceled. Not even the invasion of the Pyramids will stop Guardians from gorging themselves on candy once again.

Festival of the Lost 2020 runs from October 6th through November 3rd, so there’s a full month to earn goodies and scare your friends. Read on to learn more about the return of the Haunted Forest, new rewards, and secrets.

A triumphant return: Solstice of Heroes 2020 guide

We’re currently in the middle of the Solstice of Heroes holiday, which began on August 11th and runs through September 8th. This holiday coincides with the Moments of Triumph event to cap off Destiny 2’s third year, giving all Guardians an opportunity to acquire shiny new armor sets with special glows. It also sees the return of the European Aerial Zone, a repeatable three-player activity that can be farmed for a variety of loot.

This guide is a little late in getting out, but don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to complete everything that the event has to offer. All players can participate in Solstice of Heroes regardless of expansion or season pass ownership, so read on to find out how you can score some of that fancy armor.

Updated, 8/31/20: A couple clarifications added about Titan Solar melees and the armor glow objectives.

Moments of Triumph 2020 guide: New title, rewards, and unlimited raid drops

Capping off the third year of Destiny 2 is the annual Moments of Triumph event, lasting from Bungie Day (July 7th) until the launch of Beyond Light on September 22nd. This event allows Guardians to commemorate their accomplishments over the past year, as well as score some exclusive new rewards to add to their collection.

On top of that, Bungie is making it easier than ever for those who are still chasing down rewards from raids that will be vaulted in September by lifting the loot lockout for the rest of the season, as well as providing some alternate pathways to earning some sought-after rewards. If you’re still missing Anarchy or Tarrabah, or if the Luxurious Toast emote continues to elude your grasp, you should have no trouble getting these rewards over the next couple months.

Although the event begins today, the Triumph Seal and associated title will not be able to be completed until the Solstice of Heroes event launches on August 11th. This guide will be updated with the relevant Triumphs when that event begins.

Updated, 10/11/20: Overdue clarifications on a couple Triumphs and the MMXX seal.

There’s still about a week to go in the Guardian Games, and it looks like the punchy boys have pulled off the win. As a Titan main myself, I’m obviously thrilled about that.

Love in your sights: Crimson Days 2020 guide

Crimson Days, Destiny’s Valentine’s Day-themed holiday, is back again this year, running from February 11th through the 18th. Whether you’re a hopeless romantic with an eye for love, or a cynic who thinks Valentine’s Day is a holiday invented to sell chocolates and greeting cards, you can find the partner of your dreams or work out your frustrations in the standard Guardian way: killing each other repeatedly.

The event is pretty similar to last year’s, but there are some new rewards to unlock in addition to various returning items if you missed out on them before. Here’s a brief guide to the event, covering Crimson Doubles, loot, and Triumphs.
