Quick tip: Last chance to get these Crucible Triumphs

Another post about to-be-vaulted content, and this time we’re delving into the Crucible. Bungie has confirmed that several gametypes will be removed when Beyond Light launches, as well as a reorganization of generic Triumphs to act as more of a tutorial for new players. This means that a fairly sizable amount of Triumphs will be removed, as well as a particular cosmetic you might want to get while you have time.

Before we get into the Triumphs themselves, I’ll make a quick mention of resources you can use to help keep track of what you have left to do before November 10th.

Quick tip: Get the After the Nightfall emblem before it’s gone

Although my extensive guides to seasons 1 through 7 have covered a lot of content, there are some things that have slipped between the cracks. To that end, I’ll be aiming to do a few posts on content you might otherwise have missed.

This first post is on the After the Nightfall emblem, an exclusive emblem related to Nightfall strikes. With only six weeks to go, you’ll might have time to obtain it, but you’ll need to act fast.

Quick tip: Complete the Invitations from the Nine while you still can

I’m still working on the first part of my Forsaken guide, but I’m jumping ahead a little bit here because I remembered something from season 6 that will likely be going away when Beyond Light begins. The weekly activity Invitations from the Nine was a side pursuit during Season of the Drifter that gave additional insights into how the mysterious Nine view the ongoing conflict in the Solar System, as well as providing more context as to the character of the Drifter.

With objectives on destinations that are soon to be vaulted, the Invitations may very well be removed soon. If you want to experience the whole series, you’d better start soon.

Update, 7/16/20: Due to the recently-announced delay of Beyond Light’s release date to November 10th, I’ve updated the dates on this guide accordingly. You now have until the week of September 11th to start Invitations from the Nine.

Quick Tip: How to get into the Corridors of Time, post-patch

On Tuesday, patch 2.7.1 was released for Destiny 2. While it had the unintended side effect of severely messing with players’ inventories, to the extent of Bungie performing their first-ever character rollback, an intended change was the removal of access to the Corridors of Time, the puzzle event that started on January 14th and was solved a few days later. Any player who didn’t run through it for the emblem and lore book before Tuesday sadly missed out.

However, a glitch has been discovered that enables players to access the Corridors again, provided you have at least one character that hasn’t rescued Saint-14 yet. The glitch is pretty simple, and you can use it to get both the emblem and the complete Pigeon and the Phoenix lore book.

Quick Tip: Claim rewards you forgot from Season of the Undying

Season of Dawn is in full swing now, and while I’m working on a post about the beginning of this season’s content, this is a short post to talk about a helpful new feature that Bungie debuted just the other day.

In your haste to get everything done before the end of the season, you might have forgotten to claim all of your Season Pass rewards. Perhaps it slipped your mind to pick up your Phenotype Plasticity ornaments on all of your characters, or maybe you thought you’d claimed all the resource rewards but you missed one three pages back.

Never fear, Bungie’s got you covered with a new feature on the website and companion app. The Season Progress page lets you view all rewards from current and past seasons, but more importantly, it also lets you claim any rewards you’ve earned but haven’t picked up!
