The Almighty is destroyed! Get a free emblem to celebrate

I really should have put a post out yesterday, but being busy with other things I didn’t think about it in time. Oh well, I don’t think many people are watching this blog for Destiny announcements anyway, especially on such short notice.

In case you missed it, today marked the finale of Season of the Worthy, and despite the mixed reception of the season, it definitely went out with a bang. True, the season has a couple more days to go, but we’ve hit the conclusion of the story with the Almighty’s destruction, even if Rasputin was cutting it a little close. Thousands of Guardians, maybe even millions, flocked to the Tower to watch the fireworks.

Even if you missed the finale, you can still collect one final emblem this season to commemorate all the work you did in all those Seraph Towers public events. And if you skipped out on doing them and let others do them instead…well, you can still get it.

Season of the Worthy: Guide to Triumphs, Collections, and getting it all done in time

With a little over a week to go until season 11 launches, it’s time once again for my seasonal guide to finishing up everything the season has to offer. How many times will I say season this time? Who knows?

I meant to get this out a little bit earlier, but there’s still time to finish up all the Triumphs if you’re willing to put in some effort. The format’s pretty similar since there’s not a whole lot of changes between seasons, so let’s dive in.

The Lie: Season 10’s community event now live!

Now that the Guardian Games are over (congrats, fellow Titans), it’s time to get back to work. Remember that giant Cabal superweapon that’s still hurtling towards the City? Yeah, we should probably do something about that.

To go along with this, or maybe just to remind everyone what we’re supposed to be doing, Bungie has released a new quest tied to the season’s objectives. And similar to previous events like the Empyrean Foundation, this one is going to take a community effort to complete. Hope you’re not tired of Seraph Towers yet.

Updated, 5/13/20: Bungie has made tweaks to the public event to make the grind easier. Details in the section below.

Guardian Games 2020: Last-minute tips and retrospective

There’s still about a week to go in the Guardian Games, and it looks like the punchy boys have pulled off the win. As a Titan main myself, I’m obviously thrilled about that.

But regardless of who wins or loses, there are still rewards to acquire regardless of your class, and still time to complete some Triumphs and score a new exotic. So, with two weeks of the grind under my (golden) belt, here are some tips to help you in your grind, as well as my thoughts on the event.

Iron Banner: New quest, new rewards, and Point of the Stag review

We’re in the middle of our second Iron Banner of season 10, and…not much has changed. It’s still the same power-enabled Control-with-a-twist that we’ve had since its revamp in Forsaken, the rewards are pretty much the same, and being wiped out by someone thirty power levels higher than yourself is as frustrating as ever. If you’ve given up on Iron Banner at this point, I don’t blame you (there’s a reason I haven’t touched Trials yet).

However, there are a couple of new rewards, as well as our only ritual weapon of the season: Point of the Stag, a bow with perks suitable for PVP. Apparently it was supposed to come out last season, but for whatever reason it got delayed until season 10.

If you want these new goodies, or if you want to spend your Iron Banner Tokens to get some of those new enhanced armor mods, you’ll have to do a quest. And that quest is going to be very familiar.

The horseman cometh: How to obtain the exotic shotgun The Fourth Horseman

It seems that about a week into each season, there’s a new exotic quest to do, and this season is no exception. This time around, an old favorite from Destiny 1 is making a comeback: the rapid-firing quad-barreled exotic shotgun, The Fourth Horseman. Built to hunt the biggest game in the system–the Cabal–this shotgun can obliterate just about anything you put in front of it.

In fact, Zavala wants you to use it so badly, he’s ready to give it to you for free, no questions asked. All you have to do is go get it.

Season of the Worthy intro: Questlines, Seraph activities, and progression

The latest season has kicked off with an assortment of new activities to engage with, as well as a seasonal progression system that will provide most players with a steady array of unlocks over time (assuming they haven’t gone crazy with farming and have already unlocked them all).

It’s a pretty large amount of stuff to take in all at once, but aspects of this should be familiar if you played last season. Read on for details about Season of the Worthy’s intro questlines, new activities, and other tips for the season.

Season of the Worthy preview: New story, activities, and loot

Now that Season of Dawn is coming to a close, Bungie has dropped the trailer and a fair amount of info for season 10, called Season of the Worthy. The Red Legion’s plans to use the Sundial to change the course of the Red War have failed, but they’re not giving up just yet. There’s always a plan B.

Unfortunately for us, the Cabal’s plan B is no less destructive. If they can’t conquer the system through conventional means, then they’ll just wipe out the Last City in one decisive blow.

If we’re going to stop them, we’re going to need to call on an unlikely ally, the only force in the system that’s powerful enough to repel the Red Legion’s desperate assault: Rasputin. Read on for details on the story, new PVE and PVP activities, and the new loot you’ll be able to acquire.
