Season of Arrivals: Guide to Triumphs, Collections, and getting it all done in time

Beyond Light is only three weeks away, and with the season winding down, it’s time for the standard wrap-up post! As always, you still have enough time to finish off everything that Season of Arrivals has to offer, but you’re cutting it close if you don’t get started now! That’s where this guide comes in.

I’ll be going over the various seasonal quests, Collections, and Triumphs in this post, and I’ll have links to my other posts for this season with more info on the activities themselves. Before you head off to Europa, let’s take one last tour around the Solar System as we know it and score some good rewards in the process.

Season of Arrivals: The second half of the Exodus quest, and a new exotic

We’re approaching the tail end of season 11 now, and while I thought that we’d also be seeing the finale of the Interference mission, it seems that this week is just a repeat of last week’s mission. It’s possible that Bungie changed the date of the season’s finale event when the launch date for Beyond Light was postponed, so it may be another week or two until we wrap up Eris’s search for answers, maybe more.

However, we did get a new content drop this week, in the form of the second part of the Exodus questline, Exodus: Evacuation. This one’s a little more involved than the first part, and once again, you’ll be heading to each of the to-be-vaulted destinations to help your allies wrap up their unfinished business before evacuating.

This is also the second (and presumably final) exotic quest of the season, rewarding a weapon that should be familiar to anyone who remembers the very beginning of the Red War campaign. You’ll also score a few other item rewards along the way that will help you fill out your collection of Nightfall rewards from year 1.

Season of Arrivals: New quests, new exotic, and more pyramids

With update 2.9.1 this week, the next phase of the Season of Arrivals has begun, and it’s done so in a pretty flashy way. Aside from the Moments of Triumph event kicking off, the Pyramid ships have moved in on more worlds, and Zavala is requesting your aid in helping those stationed abroad. Meanwhile, the Pyramid above Io is offering a gift, one that you’ll craft into a new exotic weapon with Eris’s help.

The situation is looking more dire, but it’s always darkest before the dawn. With that in mind, let’s dive into what’s new and score some rewards in the process.

Warmind guide: Campaign, quests, and Escalation Protocol

My series of past season guides continue with Destiny 2’s second expansion, Warmind. Much better received than the short and sometimes tonally awkward Curse of Osiris, Warmind saw us return to Mars, although a different region than Destiny 1’s Meridian Bay. Instead, we traveled to Hellas Basin, a frozen region near the Red Planet’s ice cap, which mysteriously began to thaw in the aftermath of the Red War, unleashing a long-dormant threat.

This will be the last of the guides covering Destiny 2’s first year, and with it, I’ll have covered most of the content that will soon be vaulted. There’s still some more stuff that will be going away from year 2, so I intend on continuing these guides in the weeks to come. But for now, let’s delve into the ice and help out Rasputin!

Destiny 2 base game guide: The Red War campaign, quests, and other content

With the news of various year 1 destinations entering the Destiny Content Vault this fall, a pretty sizable chunk of the game will also be going away, perhaps for good. To give you some guidance on what you should check out before it’s gone, I’m going to be writing up some guides on each release of the game, including campaigns, quests, activities, loot, and triumphs.

We’re starting all the way back at the beginning with Destiny 2’s launch. Released in September 2017, Destiny 2 brought a new campaign that started off by destroying a lot of what we knew and loved in Destiny 1. If you want to revisit the Red War and the initial appearance of the Red Legion, read on!

Season of the Worthy: Guide to Triumphs, Collections, and getting it all done in time

With a little over a week to go until season 11 launches, it’s time once again for my seasonal guide to finishing up everything the season has to offer. How many times will I say season this time? Who knows?

I meant to get this out a little bit earlier, but there’s still time to finish up all the Triumphs if you’re willing to put in some effort. The format’s pretty similar since there’s not a whole lot of changes between seasons, so let’s dive in.

The horseman cometh: How to obtain the exotic shotgun The Fourth Horseman

It seems that about a week into each season, there’s a new exotic quest to do, and this season is no exception. This time around, an old favorite from Destiny 1 is making a comeback: the rapid-firing quad-barreled exotic shotgun, The Fourth Horseman. Built to hunt the biggest game in the system–the Cabal–this shotgun can obliterate just about anything you put in front of it.

In fact, Zavala wants you to use it so badly, he’s ready to give it to you for free, no questions asked. All you have to do is go get it.

Season of the Worthy intro: Questlines, Seraph activities, and progression

The latest season has kicked off with an assortment of new activities to engage with, as well as a seasonal progression system that will provide most players with a steady array of unlocks over time (assuming they haven’t gone crazy with farming and have already unlocked them all).

It’s a pretty large amount of stuff to take in all at once, but aspects of this should be familiar if you played last season. Read on for details about Season of the Worthy’s intro questlines, new activities, and other tips for the season.
